Provenza is fun, but I wouldn’t want my whole Medellín life to happen there

Provenza is one of those places that makes Medellín feel very international very fast. Restaurants, bars, rooftops, cafés, tourists, digital nomads, music, people dressed like they’re about to be photographed, it’s a whole scene.

And honestly, it can be fun. But I also think it gives newcomers a very specific version of Medellín. If your whole experience is Provenza, Parque Lleras, and a few coworking cafés, you might think the city is more expensive, more foreign, and more nightlife-centered than it really is.

Where do you go when you want to get out of the tourist/nomad bubble?
