Why I'm visiting Bucaramanga next month — research mode

Bogotá-based but considering a side trip to Bucaramanga for a weekend. Heard great things about the climate (eternal spring), the food (cabro al horno, anyone?), and the price (much cheaper than Bogotá). Anyone been? Worth the bus trip?
