Backup internet plan
Cell signal inside the apartment
Desk and chair quality
Noise from construction, bars, traffic, neighbors, dogs
Power outlet placement
Natural light and heat
Nearby cafés or coworking spaces
Transport to meetings or errands
Time zone overlap with clients
Emergency place to work if WiFi fails

Good remote-work cities are not only about nightlife or scenery. Bogotá has business infrastructure and many cafés, but traffic matters. Medellín has a strong remote-worker scene, but the tourist bubble can distort costs. Smaller cities may offer value and calm, but fewer English-speaking services and fewer coworking options.
