I completely understand that these will be subjective evaluations & that tastes vary, but providing opinions & reviews could very well be helpful to others (& friendly might be somewhat entertaining).

Here is my list, so far:

My favorite restaurant is Veccina. They have 2 locations, Calle 85 & Avenida 19. They used to have a mushroom appetizer that was incredible but it is no longer on the menu. I have enjoyed their beef, pork & lamb dishes but I can't go there without getting the Seafood Rigatoni & , for dessert, the Tiramisu.

The best pizza I have ever had in my life (with apologies to a couple of old friends who made great pizzas at their restaurants) is at Pizzardi. It appears they have more than one location as well. (Matt currently has a Bogota Nomads dinner scheduled for his favorite pizza joint & I have not tried that one.)

The best sourdough bakery & my favorite place for breakfast is Arbol Del Pan. They make the best croissant I have ever eaten, I love their sourdough rye bread (centeno) & their croissant with poached egg & avocado is my favorite breakfast in Bogota.

My favorite coffee shop is Azahar in El Nogal. I have to give them an honorable mention for breakfast as well.

I would love hear about everyone else's favorites, especially for sushi & Asian food in general. Nothing I have tried in these categories has overly impressed me.
